Southern AgCredit Welcomes 2023 Summer Interns
Southern AgCredit recently hired three summer interns: Hayden Kilgore, Coltin Taylor and Whitney Watts. These students will work an 8-week rotation through the rural lending cooperative beginning June 5 and concluding July 28. They will spend time working in Southern AgCredit branches as well as in different departments at the Ridgeland administrative office.
Hayden Kilgore is from Taylorsville, Mississippi. Kilgore spent the past two years at Jones College. He will be transferring to Mississippi State University in the fall to pursue a degree in poultry science.
Coltin Taylor is a Buckatunna, Mississippi native. He recently graduated from East Central Community College with an associate degree in business administration and art. He will attend the University of Southern Mississippi this fall to pursue a degree in business administration.
Whitney Watts is from Wesson, Mississippi where she grew up showing and judging livestock. She and her family run a cow-calf operation as well as feeder cattle. Watts is a senior at Kansas State University and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business. She is a member of Kansas State’s Collegiate Livestock Judging Team and Meat Evaluation Team.
