Borrowers of Southern AgCredit are part-owners of our cooperative and can share in our earnings. The association's board of directors analyzes the financial strength of the cooperative near the end of every fiscal year. The board can vote to retain net income to increase the association's capital, or it can distribute a portion of the net income to borrowers through a patronage refund.

The individual patronage refund borrowers receive depends on the amount of business they do with the association.

Patronage refunds can significantly reduce our customers' cost of borrowing money. They are another benefit of doing business with Southern AgCredit.
